Job Description

Ecolab is seeking a Senior Lab Technician to develop and advance innovation platforms and support technical service needs within our NA Textile Care RD&E team.

This position is an integral part of the NA Textile Care RD&E team, which leads the global technology development and innovation roadmap for commercial laundry applications that process healthcare, F&B, industrial and hospitality laundry.

You will be responsible for conducting experiments to drive the creation of new sustainable innovation offering targeted to reduce water, energy and improve productivity in our customer operations and also support technical service to help solve customer challenges across all of NA textile care customers. You will also be a core team member to advance an innovation program encompassing water management in a commercial laundry plant, and new laundry chemistry formulations.

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain clean and safe work facility
  • Perform experiments on evaluating laundry performance across different chemical actives
  • Hands-on make and perform stability, observations on different chemical formulations
  • Perform testing to evaluate linen damage across varying wash processes
  • Create new experimental methods to evaluate performance in laundry, effluent studies
  • Able to program washers and use different lab instruments
  • Basic analysis of experimental results
  • Multi-task and balance multiple experimental series on a weekly basis
  • Participate in scientific discussion and critical thinking

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree
  • 2 years of experience working in a lab environment
  • Immigration sponsorship not available for this role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, or a related degree and a practical understanding of chemistry
  • Able to make key observations, documentation during lab experiments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to multi-task and work independently with a high attention to detail and quality while managing multiple projects
  • Knowledge of laboratory practices, scientific terminology
