SmithGroupis looking for aProject Administratorto join a project team in New Haven, Connecticut. Candidates should live within easy driving distance.

The Project Administrator will work as part of the owner's project management team to administer the workplan and communications among the diverse stakeholder groups. The Project Administrator will build collaborative networks among organization stakeholders, leaders, staff and key consultants to promote engagement throughout the project.

  • Responsible for ensuring the project stays on track and on schedule. Collaborate with all parties associated with the project to ensure it goes according to plan.

  • Responsible for coordinating and scheduling of work sessions continuously throughout the project with key stakeholders and consultant teams.

  • Responsible for communicating, and monitoring project schedule.

  • Prepare schedule progress reports and schedule analysis. Prepare look-ahead schedules at regular intervals.

  • Assist with review and development, issuance and evaluation of consultant contracts as required for their project tracks.

  • Follow-on support with accounting to ensure alignment of project forecast with current funding and billings to client.

  • Collaborate and assist on alignment of cost and schedule data.

  • Coordinate implementation plan with project site teams and escalate areas of misalignment and improvement.

  • Ensure alignment with the owner's controls governance and objectives.

An ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, business, engineering, or construction management.

  • Excellent communication skills, the ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment, as well as work independently under limited supervision.

  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills, corresponding and coordinating with both internal and external customers.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Comfortable overseeing complete project life cycle, including change orders.

  • Experience with enterprise resource planning tools and programs.

  • In-depth expertise with schedules, budgets, cost estimates and cost analysis.
