Overview
The Translational Research Project Manager I (TRPM) is responsible for assigned day-to-day coordination and overall management of GI Oncology translational and biobanking research projects supporting the research efforts of translational research investigators. Translational research projects might include coordination of collecting blood, tissue, clinical data, and/or stool-based research projects closely connected to clinical care and future treatment opportunities.
The Translational Research Project Manager I supports grant applications, progress reports, project initiation, regulatory needs for projects, general project management, and identifying patients for projects. This position will have the dual role of supporting the needs of clinical and laboratory-based investigators playing an important role in bridging the two sides of research.
The Translational Research Project Manager will assist indirectly supervising research coordinators who support these research projects. The Translational Research Project Manager will independently manage a separate portfolio of projects for each investigator. Specific tasks and responsibilities are varied and dependent on the needs of the department and investigators.
