Position: Physical Therapist, Outpatient

Department: Physical Therapy, South Bay Ortho Rehab

Schedule: Full Time, 40 Hours

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Staff Physical Therapist conducts comprehensive assessments of outpatients with physical and functional deficits, planning and implementing individual/group physical therapy treatments to achieve the highest possible level of independence. Collaborates with other disciplines to arrange for appropriate follow-up care and facilitates a successful return to home and work environments. Provides student training according to departmental guidelines and participates in continuous education. Is encouraged to assist in interdisciplinary research.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

  • Work requires a Bachelor's / Master's orDoctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • May be considered and interviewed up to 120 days prior to graduation.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Must have a current, unencumbered license with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Physical Therapist prior to start date.
  • In order to be considered, must be eligible for Physical Therapist License issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts within 120 days of graduation.
  • APTA and/or APTA MA membership preferred.
  • Work requires a current AHA or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Workers certification.

EXPERIENCE:

Experienced therapists encouraged to apply.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Work requires interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with patients, families and various members of the health care team.

Work requires analytical abilities sufficient to evaluate patients' condition, capabilities and progress to develop appropriate treatment programs. IND123
