Position Overview:

Under the supervision of the Loan Operations Assistant Manager and Manager, performs a variety of Loan Servicing related functions in connection with Commercial, Residential, and/or Consumer loans. Including booking loans, distribution of paid loan packages, preparation of payoff demand statements, maintenance, tracking and review of all pending loan documents and exceptions.

Essential Duties

  • Extracts loan information from loan closing packages, and various worksheets in order to book and service loans in the core system, ensuring rate, payments, bills, auto transfers, and collateral agree to loan document file.
  • Maintain, manage and track all pending/outstanding loan documents and exceptions.
  • Accurately scans and indexes loan documentation into the appropriate imaging groups and types.
  • Reconciles loan activity to either the DDA or GL Accounts
  • Inputs and verifies wire information
  • Assists with payoff quotes and reviews
  • Addressees inquiries and research requests from internal and external clients. Uses all tools available to perform research, analyze transactions and follow through on appropriate resolution. Communicates results in a professional and prompt manner.
  • Prepares discharges and documents for recording. Processes discharges electronically through Simplifile and ensures receipt of recording.
  • Ensures sufficient and accurate loan collateral, including vehicle titles, transmit new UCC's for electronic filing and track for continuation and termination and performs searches as needed.
  • Stays abreast of new regulations and software enhancements. Reviews software system upgrades and update setup sheets or procedures as needed.
  • Assists in department special projects and other duties as assigned
  • Backs up and performs various loan servicing duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Training and Work Experience

  • Must have proficient computer skills including Word and Excel.
  • Must possess strong analytical and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work independently.
  • High school degree or equivalent required, College degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years' experience - in banking or loan services preferred
