Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Promote job site safety and encourage safe work practices.</li> <li>Prepare work schedule, determine manpower requirements, material quantities, equipment needs, and supervise completion of final punch list.</li> <li>Work with other superintendents and make updates to project schedule daily.</li> <li>Direct all field personnel to complete the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to the plans and specifications.</li> <li>Advise Project Manager of potential or real problems and assist in resolving them.</li> <li>Supervise Foreman, laborers/craft workers and subcontractors assigned to an area of responsibility; act as liaison between field engineering and foreman, laborers/craft workers, and ensure work complies with drawings and specifications.</li> <li>Review production reports weekly, initiate field change requests, and prepare vendor or subcontractor back charges with the Project Manager/Project Engineer.</li> <li>Monitor work performance and productivity of subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications, procedures, quality, and safety requirements.</li> <li>Conduct daily walkthrough of the project site(s) ensuring work is being accomplished safely and occupational health is not compromised.</li> <li>Ensures project safety policies are implemented and followed, to include HASP&rsquo;s, JHA&rsquo;s, and Tool Box Talks.</li> <li>Provide updated three-week look-ahead and 90-day schedule for the Project Manager and owner(s).</li> <li>Conduct quality inspections and coordinate onsite testing and inspections.</li> <li>Maintain daily diary of any activities using HeavyJob.</li> <li>Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, co-workers, supervisors, and management.</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li> <li>Familiarity with working in a union environment is a plus.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>8+ years of bridge construction experience with 3+ years in a Superintendent/Leadership role.</li> <li>Current OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card; or the ability to acquire a current card.</li> <li>High School Diploma or GED required along with valid driver&rsquo;s license.</li> <li>Experience in scheduling, field supervision of civil construction crews, running meetings, and monitoring production.</li> <li>Strong leadership/organizational skills to keep the project on schedule and on track.</li> <li>Must be a self-starter and be highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.</li> <li>Ability to quickly learn LCI's various policies, procedures, and software programs.</li> <li>Ability to identify and resolve problems as they arise.</li> <li>Ability to look at and understand plans and specifications for the project.</li> <li>Ability to look at issues from various different angles and render good judgment.</li> </ul> <br /> <p align="left"><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to perform tasks that require flexibility such as bending, kneeling, climbing, or reaching.</li> <li>Excellent agility to safely navigate construction sites, including uneven surfaces, heights, and potential hazards.</li> <li>Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting and moving up to 100 pounds.</li> <li>Proficient in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.</li> <li>Ability to adapt to adverse weather conditions and exposure to loud noises.</li> </ul> <br /> <p>Loureiro Contractors, Inc.
